In my life so far, I have been to numerous places that beheld beauty, but also spoke to me of isolation and brokenness. I have seen the rubbles of the Philippines' less fortunate cities, lived with Malaysian cannibal jungle tribes, walked through Fiji's less exposed third-world streets, and even old inner-state NSW town Wilcannia, dominated largely by a culture of alcohol, drugs and parentless children.
However, Cambodia has always been fascinating to me. It's one of those places I've always wanted to visit, to see and gain further knowledge of our diverse world. I came across this video of Angelina Jolie's personal experience and connectedness to the land so far away from her own home.
